Consortium

The consortium is formed by four different rowing and nautical clubs from Greece, Italy, Germany and Romania.

Nautical Club of Limnos – NOL

The Nautical Club of Limnos (NOL) was established in 1987 by a group of engaged Limnians, with the aim to continue the great nautical tradition of our island. Due to its intense activity from 1990 onwards, NOL is the “jewell” and the pride of all Limnos.

Despite the remote location (isolated island in North Aegean Sea), the Club has developed rich and remarkable activity, it has achieved significant milestones and continues to give its potential present to this day. The purpose of the Club is to spread the adoption of nautical sports and the development of the athletic spirit and the love for the sea.

NOL counts 200 athletes, namely at least 50 permanent athletes yearly, plus at least 150 at the summer period (early June to early September). NOL athletes are as young as 4 years old (initiation to swimming classes for pupils), up to seniors (in the underwater activity department). Rowing, including coastal rowing is the most prominent discipline of NOL.

Rowing Club Adriatico Fano – RCAF

Coastal Rowing is our focus. The Club house is on the beach and the condition of the sea is perfect for coastal rowing. RCAF aspires to become a “leader” of Coastal Rowing in the Adriatic Coast.

Despite being newly established, the Adriatic Rowing Club’s technical staff already participated in other Erasmus Sport projects, such as “Wave on Wave”, “Aurora Adriatic”, “SherRows” and raised awareness about the importance of spreading the knowledge at international level; this knowledge may stimulate the dissemination of sports culture in a larger territory.

Ruderklub Flensburg e. V. – RF

The Ruderkub Flensburg e.V. is a rowing club in northern Germany located in a very beautiful area, the Flensburg Fjord. RF was founded in 1914 and today has almost 300 members; our boat park has been extensively renewed in recent years, also thanks to coastal rowing implementation in our sport disciplines.

In winter as in summer, many members meet while rowing. But rowing is not the only activity: many events are organized with young and old and also family members are part of club life. Moreover, members of RF are part of a real community: they meet to clean up the boat hall, the club complex or to do the maintenance of the boats.

In 2021 RF started to organize a Coastal Regatta, which is becoming very popular. This regatta in 2022 had about 125 participants. Also, since 2020, the “Learn to row” courses offered by RF have been certified by the DRV (German Rowing Association), while the “Health sport rowing” courses have been awarded.
